RMP members visited the City of Boulder's Wastewater Treatment Facility where we learned about the city's treatment procedures and the water quality standards that must be met in the US and in Guatemala. Travel team members prepared for their upcoming assessment trip in April by learning about common contaminates in water sources and practiced how to accurately measure for them. Results from the water quality testing in Guatemala will aid in determining the needs of the water sources and infrastructure to enable the supply of safe, potable water to the community. Overall, it was an informative and fun learning experience!
